Scarborough Channel Islands Limited (SCIL) is a wholly owned subsidiary of an independent UK building society, which uses its mutual heritage to provide much needed support to help enhance the communities in which it operates.
When it comes to community support, SCIL has adopted a similar ethos and we are keen to consider requests from deserving organisations based in the Bailiwick which could benefit from our support.
Priority will be given to those groups and/or projects which involve:
In order to provide community groups and charities with the highest standard of service, all requests over £100 are reviewed by a local Sponsorship & Donations Committee, consisting of a number of senior representatives of the bank.
It is the Committee’s commitment to deliver a fair, effective and prompt review of all requests received, with a written acknowledgement issue to every application within 5 working days and a decision made within 4 weeks.
As SCIL receives many more applications for support than can be met from the available funds, we regret that it is not possible to support all applications, even when they meet the criteria.
We regret that support cannot be given to individuals, or those groups which promote religious, gaming or political interests.
For consideration in the first instance, please write with your request for support to:
